Set up your Aptoria account by completing your profile, securing access, adding the first property, and connecting payments when you are ready to collect rent. Follow the setup in that order so the tenant, lease, and money workflows all start from complete records.

Your profile and how tenants see you
Start under Settings → Account, where your name, email, and profile live, along with a "Your data" export if you ever want a full copy of everything Aptoria holds about you. This is the identity everything else attaches to.
Because the agent sends email to your tenants on your behalf, it is worth setting how those messages are signed so they read as coming from you and not a nameless system. Your public-facing details give tenant emails a real name and business to attach to.
Notifications and security
Under Settings → Notifications you choose how Aptoria reaches you — for approvals waiting on you, actions happening now inside their safety window, and payment events. Getting these right matters because the approval queue and the soft-commit intercept links arrive through them, so you can stop an automatic action from your phone without opening the app.
Then visit Settings → Security to register two-factor authentication. It is strongly recommended for any account that collects rent or holds tenant data. Step-up enforcement is still rolling out, so until it is fully in place treat a strong, unique password as your primary protection and keep 2FA registered as the second layer.
Fill in your profile under Settings → Account.
Set how tenant-facing emails are signed so they read as coming from you.
Choose your notification channels under Settings → Notifications.
Register two-factor authentication under Settings → Security.

Two more settings turn a set-up account into a working one. Connecting Stripe under the payments settings lets tenants pay rent in-app and lets money settle to your bank; until Stripe is verified, the rent ledger stays read-only and the agent cannot move any money. Setting your late-fee policy tells the agent what to do when rent is overdue, within the limits your state's law allows.
You can do these in any order, and the home-screen "Get started" checklist tracks what is left. None of it commits you to autonomy — the agent still only proposes actions until you turn features on.
