How late fees are calculated

Under Settings → Late fees you can enter a rule, such as a flat fee or a percentage after a grace period, and a sample rent, and Aptoria shows what that rule would charge. It applies the grace period and any state cap in its rules data, so you can see where a cap would limit the fee.

Location rules and lease terms can add conditions a state setting alone cannot resolve, such as rules that depend on the lease wording, the municipality, or the date of the charge. A displayed cap is a review aid, not legal clearance.
